The Alegr\u00edas is a palo<\/em> (rhythm) from the region of Cadiz. It is a twelve count comp\u00e1s like Sole\u00e1 por Buler\u00edas<\/em> but a bit faster. It is happy dance that belongs to the family of Canti\u00f1as<\/em>.<\/p>

FANDANGOS<\/h2>

A form of folk singing that has originated from Huelva and that with time has become more flamenco<\/em>. Fandangos<\/em> plays a big role in the pilgrimages of \u201cEl Roc\u00edo\u201d<\/em>. Seguiriya is one of the most somber palo<\/em> of flamenco with lyrics that reflects pain and suffering. One of its variations is the Saeta<\/em>. It is a song sung during the Semana Santa<\/em> in Spain

A Flamenco palo<\/em> from Almeria. Taranto<\/em> derives of the palo Taranta<\/em>. The difference between them is that Taranto<\/em> has rhythm. Both palos<\/em> come from the mines and are called \u201ccantes de las minas<\/em>\u201d (songs of the mines).
